MTB Demo Day at Valmont Bike Park
May 13 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The front range’s largest mountain bike demo event returns for it’s 10th anniversary!! This event started with just one or two manufacturers on a piece of private property in North Boulder. Today, the finest brands in the industry gather at the 62 acre Valmont Bike Park for a one-day, backdoor opportunity to ride the finest machines on the trail: mountain bikes by Yeti, Pivot, Santa Cruz, Rocky Mountain, and more.
Registration is free for the first 400 riders. REGISTER NOW AT EVENTBRITE
Industry leaders from Shimano, Smith, DT Swiss, and MRP will be on hand to share their latest technology. Possibly the best kept mountain biking secret on the front range: for another opportunity to ride these bikes side-by-side, you will have to travel to Fuita, Moab, or Crested Butte later this summer. Demo Day at Valmont is open to the public.
Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age requirements. You WILL need an ID for checking out demo bikes with almost all vendors. The organizer will also check your ID when you receive your demo pass wristband. There is no age requirement to participate at the park, but Valmont Park regulations suggest that minors 12 years old and younger should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Q: What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There are parking lots located off both Airport Road and Valmont Road. The park is easily accessible by bike using Boulder’s network of multi-purpose trails and bike lanes. The City of Boulder has a route-finding website, http://
Q: What can I bring into the event?
You are encouraged to bring a helmet, gloves, and the mountain biking apparel and shoes of your choice. Customarily all manufacturers have flat pedals and SPD’s available. If you have another specialty pedal technology that you prefer to ride, feel free to bring your pedals as well. (Better to be safe than sorry) There is plenty of terrain to test your skills at Valmont Bike Park, and riders are encouraged to bring their own safety gear as well.
Q: How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Contact Sports Garage Cycling through their website, by calling the shop at 303-473-0033, or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not have to bring a printed ticket. We will have a guest list available at the Sports Garage check-in tent.
Q: Can I buy a bike at the event?
Sports Garage Cycling will be offering day-of discounts on all bike orders placed at the Demo. However, there will not be inventory on hand to take home with you. Boulder-based Pro’s Closet will be at the festival with their team of buyers: they will give you an official offer on your old bike, and you can use that certificate of value to place a down payment on a discounted new bike with Sports Garage Cycling. The most efficient way to get into a new ride this spring!!
