What do you do at Sports Garage?

I help with sales, services and bringing good positive vibes to an awesome shop.

What is your favorite bike that you’ve ever had?

My new SB-66 with pink Chris King hubs and an awesome set of wheels built by Zack (Z-spokes). It is a sweet bike for climbing and also rocks the downhill. It has taken me to a lot of places; Crested Butte, Buff Creek, Moab, Fruita and all around the front range.

History/Background in Cycling?

I started riding on trails with my dad when I was young, road a little in Germany for a few years and now I am enjoying the amazing biking here in Colorado. From mountain biking to the occasional road ride, I’m always looking for new routes, new peeps and new bikes to have fun with. Plus, my background in coatings and nanoparticle research has resulted in a fascination in strong materials.

What’s the best thing about SG?

The people, service and fittings are top notch here. In fact, I ended up working at SG because the people and service were so exceptional when buying my SB-66 that I wanted to be more involved. Everyone is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all things bike related.

Why/how did/do you work at SG?

I was looking for a new bike and came into SG since I heard it was the place to go for new snazzy bikes. Cam sold me my SB-66 and before I knew it I was working part time!

Why do you ride?

I love the feeling of getting outside, up into the mountains and riding my bike. My favorite rides are the long cross-country rides with a lot of climbing along with rockin downhill. After a ride like that, my week has been made. My SB-66 is my best friend.

Jeni found Sports Garage during her search for her own dream bike, her Yeti SB-66.  While in the shop, she asked, “Can I work here?”  So here she is.  She’s has an impressive list of letters after her name including several Ms, Bs, Ss, oh and a P, an H, and  D.  She lives lots her life in labs, but has a passion for pedaling and wants to share it.  Moab for the weekend?  She’s there.  Ironman Triathlon.  Don’t tempt her with a good time.
